MULTIVAC USA is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Kansas City, MO

Description
Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Summary: This individual will be responsible for all capital equipment maintenance and repairs at Multivac US. Coordinates with heads of all departments to ensure any issues, concerns, or problems that could potentially compromise scheduled due dates or commitments is planned to minimize capacity shortage due to equipment operation.
Time Utilization: This position may travel up to 5%of the time. Normal business hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external schedules and my require on-call status to support second shift on a limited basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  1. Create and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for all Capital equipment within the Manufacturing and Logistics departments.

  1. Repairs equipment issues hands on when issues arise to minimize machine downtime.

  1. Schedule vendor activities on maintenance and repairs as necessary, being the direct contact and escort for vendors until the task is complete.

  1. Achieves certifications to allow for "factory maintenance" to be performed on our capital equipment.

  1. Track work center daily to ensure all assigned tasks are completed as scheduled.

  1. Track and report monthly all maintenance costs compared to budget.

  1. Monitor a tracking system to display the operation status of all Manufacturing equipment, identify trends of equipment downtimes and recommend replacement or repairs.

  1. Identifying and maintaining a common replacement parts list of all equipment, managing, and tracking inventory.

  1. File management of all equipment maintenance.

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five or more years of facilities and maintenance required, strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience working with computer applications. Computer expertise with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
Certificates and Licenses:
Maintenance certifications are a plus.
