General Function: To enhance the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Muletown Rec staff and facility, to improve the customer experience for members, and to grow membership base through strategic sales.
Essential Functions will include, but not limited to:
· Regular and Reliable on-site attendance
· Assist General Manager and Leadership Team with member management, issues, or questions.
· Works the front desk station throughout the week to ensure excellent membership experience.
· Assists in the management, training, and scheduling of additional front desk and snack shack staff.
· Assists with enhancing member experience from the moment they walk in the door.
· Investigates and resolves complaints or inquiries from employees and patrons concerning the operations of the facility; deals appropriately with confrontational situations.
· Assists Accounts Coordinator in management of member account payments and reconciliation, including failed payment and collections process
· Oversee new membership checklist process and assist with ensuring accuracy of new member onboarding.
· Auditing of membership activations and cancellations.
· Detailing responsibilities and expectations for staff
· Assist with managing Muletown Rec’s POS system
· Overseeing retail and food inventory
· Audit cash drawer and make cash deposits
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications include:
Experience includes:
· He/she must possess the ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, members, and partners.
· Have organizational skills to simultaneously manage and complete multiple projects/programs.
· Has the ability to respond to critical incidents and to act swiftly in emergency situations.
· Knowledge of Word processing, desktop publishing, and spreadsheets
· Extensive knowledge of operation procedures and facility management.
· General knowledge and basic background of recreation/fitness programs.
· General knowledge of business, management, finance and accounting.
· Excellent public relation and communication skills.
Qualifications include:
· Degree in business/communication/related field, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience preferred
· Strong organizational and communication skills required
· Experience with a fitness industry point-of-sale system preferred
Physical requirements:
· While performing the duties of this position, employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee sits, walks, kneels and reaches with hands and arms and must talk and hear. May be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
