Mueller Yurgae Associates is Hiring a Manager of Retail Territory Sales Associates Near Olathe, KS

Position Summary

MYA’s Managers of Retail Territory Sales Associates will provide leadership for the individual contributors in their division with regards to developing, coaching, and mentoring while holding them accountable to policies and sales goals and retail reporting requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide leadership to the Retail Territory Sales Associates. This includes recruitment, hiring recommendations, onboarding, training, and handling discipline as needed and according to company policy.
  • Responsible for ongoing career development conversations within the context of coaching and mentoring.
  • Timely delivery of all relevant communications at the department, division, and companywide level. To include item approvals and retail reset requests.
  • Encourage and hold staff accountable to goals for individuals based on the division goals set by the Director. This includes generating timely reports to the assigned director.
  • Assign equitable and adequate coverage for manufacturer lines and retail accounts between the team. The includes balance of geographic distribution.
  • Resolve customer and client complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales and operations.
  • Accountable for enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and approve expenses for their team.
  • Ensure staff are performing duties safely.
  • Motivate and encourage their team.
  • Travel within assigned territories to work with RTSAs on a regular basis.
  • Work Trade Shows as needed.
  • Fill in for RTSAs when they are on PTO or when position is vacant.
  • Manage HQ accounts as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; OR
    • Extensive experience as sales manager required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
