Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk position requires day-to-day responsibility of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including other accounting activities from all the entities of the organization. Tasks include coding in accounts payables/receivables, bank and credit card reconciliation, customer invoicing and other administrative and accounting tasks as assigned. This successful candidate has a career path for future growth within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

• Audits credit card processors for daily settlements.

• Reconciles and troubleshoots sales and receivables issues as follows:

• Credit card settlement
• Out of balance sales
• Profit center discrepancies
• Sales point variances

• Researches and disputes credit card charge backs.

• Reconciles bank accounts.

• Maintain control list and responsible for meeting deadlines.

• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, paper and digital.

• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

• Other responsibilities as normally required of an Accounting Clerk.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent business experience preferred.

• Employee should interact well with people – internal departments, outside clients, vendors, and professional services.

• Employee must have excellent time management skills, attention to detail, task follow-up and proactive communication style.

• Must have a desire to contribute to a positive team culture.

• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe.

• This position is entry level, on the job training and education will be provided.
