Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center is Hiring a Behavioral Health Scheduling and Information Specialist Near Colorado, CO

Job Description: Behavioral Health Scheduling and Information Specialist

Mission: Work directly with potential clients, community partners, and the behavioral health clinical team, to ensure the program is successful and consistently achieves the stated mission and vision.

Program Area Responsibilities: Responsible for working directly with the Director of Behavioral Health, Gateway Coordinator, the clinical team, and clients. Collaborates with others to ensure the daily operations of the Behavioral Health Program operate smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements:

1. Associates Degree or higher in related fields. (Health information management, psychology, etc.)

2. Understanding and familiarity with HIPAA and ensuring HIPPA compliance

3. Customer/Client Service Experience (2 years)

4. Use of personal cell phone for team communications (text, phone, email, etc.…)

5. Clerical experience (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/etc...)

6. Strong understanding of Excel

7. Typing speed 45 WPM

8. Attentive to detail

9. Ability to work in a capricious environment, while maintaining empathy and self-regulation.

10. Ability to assist potential clients when they are experiencing mental health challenges within the scope of the position.

Preferred:

1. Experience in Psychology, Human Services, or Counseling related field

2. 2 years previous work experience with a Counseling/Behavioral Health Agency

3. Experience in research methods/statistical analysis

4. Familiarity with Military culture and common struggles of military members and their families.

Specific Duties:

1. Client Service, Maintaining Office Functionality, and Organization (65%)

a. Answer client calls, explain programming to potential clients, schedule clients for behavioral health screenings and provide confirmation calls.

b. Ensure initial client contact with Mt. Carmel Behavioral Health is positive, empathic, and validating.

c. Address concerns of clients and connect them with appropriate services.

d. Communicate and coordinate with Gateway Coordinator and clinical team regarding scheduling clients and procedures.

e. Obtain feedback from clients regarding therapeutic experience and program effectiveness.

f. Update, collect, track, and distribute weekly stats.

g. Gather programmatic statistical data.

h. Take on projects to further the growth of program.

i. Audit clinical files to ensure State Compliance.

j. Filing client files and documents.

k. Data entry and tracking to demonstrate program effectiveness and needs.

l. Work with program interns and candidates to encourage and facilitate learning. .

m. Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and obtain supplies as needed.

2. Core Responsibilities (35%)

a. Works closely with Behavioral Health Director and Gateway Coordinator to ensure quality services and programs are being provided to our military community.

b. Maintain personal training/education to increase relevance and effectiveness of the behavioral health program.

c. Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment in support of all activities.

d. Maintain positive rapport with all Mt. Carmel staff and partners.

e. Utilize leadership skills to assist in helping to find solutions to program struggles and strategize future goals.

f. Maintain clinical offices and order supplies as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
