Responsibilities:
- Posts receipts on behalf of Hospital and Physician Practices. Includes electronic receipts as well as paper checks and cash.
- Runs daily report and proves receipts
- Balances cash receipts monthly between Cerner and accounting system.
- Performs other tasks related to the collections and resolutions of patient accounts as assigned.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings, attends other meetings as assigned, and performs other duties as assigned or requested.
- Perform other tasks related to accounting functions of institution as assigned;
- Maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Prior experience in Accounts Receivable preferred;
- Ability to work with insurers and employees;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, high attention to detail, and ability to document processes with detail
- Plans and prioritizes work effectively, with a proactive approach to issue resolution
- Must possess the ability to work independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems desired.
