JOB TITLE: Incident Response Manager

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: This role is tasked with responding to security incidents in a mission critical production environment, investigating and remediating possible endpoint malware infections, mitigating threats such as unauthorized use, phishing, and violation of corporate security policy. The individual contributor role helps coordinate response, triage and recovery activities for security events affecting the company’s information assets.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop Incident Response processes and documentation.

• Lead security incidents in a mission critical production environment, such as investigating and remediating possible endpoint malware infections, mitigating threats such as unauthorized use, spam and phishing.

• Coordinate response, triage and recovery activities for security events affecting the company’s information assets.

• Collaborate with other departments including Crisis management, emergency management, Business Continuity, DR, Business leaders, legal, Infrastructure and Application teams to develop and execute mature Incident response plans.

• Execute routine table-top exercises to assess the organizations capability and readiness to respond to security incidents.

• Provide routine metrics and reporting on Security events, incidents and breaches.

• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 2-4 years of Information Technology experience, preferably in Information Security.

• 1 years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: security operations, incident response, network security operations, network/host intrusion detection, threat response.

• Experience analyzing system and application logs to investigate security issues and/or complex operational issues.

• Knowledge of enterprise detection technologies and processes (Advanced Threat Detection Tools, IDS/IPS, Network Packet Analysis, Endpoint Protection).

• Knowledge of enterprise detection technologies and processes (Advanced Threat Detection Tools, IDS/IPS, EDR, NDR, Network Packet Analysis, Endpoint Protection).

• Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Databases).

• GCIH, GCIA or Comptia Security certifications preferred.

Min Salary $70,980, mid $101,400, depending upon location and experience
