MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING a weekend shift Turret Forklift Operator in the Plainfield, Indiana, area!

Pay: $ 21.00 / hour

Shift: 4th shift, 5:30AM - 5:30PM, Friday - Sunday

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining mechanical, motorized, and/or electrical equipment within the facility, such as forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks. Ensure the safe transportation of goods to and from different locations. Possess a solid understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and distribution processes to meet business needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe operation of equipment for material handling and warehousing tasks, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping various items.
• Safely operate equipment while transporting materials.
• Safely operate equipment when entering and exiting trailers.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel within designated safety zones around operating equipment.
• Verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing using various source documents before moving materials.
• Operate machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging items, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
• Safely operate and maintain mechanical, motorized, and/or electrical equipment within the facility.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of Turret Forklift experience is REQUIRED
• Warehouse experience preferred
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents

Physical Requirements:

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
• Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
