IT Systems Administratorms consultants, inc.
Columbus, Ohio

ms consultants is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team and manage our network and server infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various systems and devices, such as servers, routers, switches, firewalls, backups, and security systems. You will also monitor system performance and availability, ensure data integrity and security, and provide technical support to users and staff.

To be successful as a Systems Administrator, you should have a solid background in network and system administration, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You should also be familiar with the latest technologies and best practices in the field and have a passion for learning new skills and tools.

What You'll Do:

  • Install, configure, update, and maintain network and server hardware and software.
  • Monitor system performance and availability and troubleshoot any issues or failures.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup and recovery procedures and enforcing access control policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and staff and resolve any requests or escalated helpdesk tickets.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Provide occasional support outside of business hours.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of network and system administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, firewall, and server technologies
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
