Engineer Change Coordinator

Salary: $65,000-$85,000

Position Summary:

The role of the ECC within a plant is to fulfil the customer requirements by levelling the activities of the production floor

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in production activities.
• Analyze customer Miss-deliveries Per Million (MPM) in order to propose improvement action plans: define and optimize data gathering and exchange and ensure data integrity in systems.
• Follow up the achievement of the customer delivery program by managing alerts and following up with the transportation and the delivery of pieces.
• Prepare the Sales & Operations Planning (PIC) on a monthly basis in order to obtain proper volume levels and optimize resources (men, machines, materials and supplier readiness and capacity).
• Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule (PDP) to ensure a level production plan and make production line provisions for variations of customers demand.
• Check that the sequencer and procurements are consistent with the PDP.
• Follow requirements established with 7 Delivery Basics and 7 Inventory Basics.
• Ensure that products changes (new products launches phase out) are taken into account within the ECM process from MMR/PDW updates to implementation.
• Coordinate level changes on serial life parts in the ECN tool.
• Manage application dates of product modifications according to engineering change procedures
• Keep up special relationships with program teams. Define and assume the logistics conditions necessary for the launch of new programs
• Ensure that changes are taken into account in production scheduling and material planning
• Manage phase out files: reduce to the minimum the obsolete stocks and set up the file in a way to obtain their reimbursement by the customer
• Monitor/Cycle Consigned parts-report any inventory discrepancies to customer/supplier.
• Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
• Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
• Follow requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to plant’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Position Specifications

Authorities:

• Enforce the production plan with the lines. (i.e. stop overproduction)
• Schedule additional trucks above normal transportation to ensure customer needs.
• Address improper parts consumption on the floor for components and raw materials.
• Contact the customer in case of risk of supply.

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Experience in production in an industrial environment
• Understanding of engineering changes
• Communication experience with Automotive OEM (GM/FORD/FCA)
• Operational knowledge of Plant's ERP system-Material Planning/Scheduling (FCS is a plus)
