A bit about our role:

We are searching for a Machine Operator to manufacture component parts that are used in the fabrication and assembly of casework & custom millwork products. This is a position that works closely with engineering and other manufacturing departments to ensure the production of high-quality and cost-effective products.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate equipment as required to maintain production schedule and ensure production of good quality products.
• Manufacture component parts used in the assembly of casework and custom millwork products according to specification.
• Ensure quality of parts produced adhere to specification (E.g., Shop drawings), MRO standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure work areas are well maintained, clean and organized.
• Produce a high level of output.
• Support the Quality and Safety culture by ensuring core principles, values and policies are followed and improved.
• Ability to use measurement tools (E.g., tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and typical shop tools (E.g., drill, belt sander, saw, etc.)
• Read and Interpret shop drawings and cut lists.
• Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with others and take direction.
• Ensure operator maintenance is completed on time and in a quality manner.

Qualifications/Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment including CNC Router, edge bander, beam saw and/or other wood/metal working equipment. Experience in woodworking and/or millwork industry preferred.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Good understanding of materials and construction methods used to manufacture casework and custom millwork products is preferred.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, saw and edge banding.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Familiar with industrial wood/metal working equipment and measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work completed.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Able to navigate computer software (E.g. MS Office). Knowledge of ERP is a plus.
