Job Overview:

Sets-ups and operates computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches, or reams metal and/or plastic parts. Performs adjustments to adhere to established specifications. Monitors work to ensure that machine is not malfunctioning. Makes general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence.

Primary Job Function:

• Operate CNC axis machines.
• Read blueprint and fabricate part per print specifications.
• Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instrument.
• Meet production goals.
• Able to Setup/Operate/Edit Programs on multiple machines in Fabrication.
• Ability to retain learned knowledge.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Clean work area daily.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Assemble manufactured parts.
• Pack assembled parts.
• Perform other assigned work per instructions.

Essential Functions:

• Stand 8 - 10 hours each day.
• Lift 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Able to wear protective hearing, protective safety eye ware, and steel toe boots.

Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:

CNC operation and set-up (preferred)

Knowledge:

General math knowledge.

Skills:

Mechanical aptitude, safety conscious, self-starter, team player.
