Job Summary:
A local construction company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing support for various payroll-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax regulations, and financial concepts.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant data
- Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and commissions
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information
- Maintain employee records and update changes in employment status
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll
- Perform journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts

• Maintain employee licenses for management
• Track and schedule medicals as needed for employees
• Track and maintain employee licenses for management

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and financial concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify errors or discrepancies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees at all levels
