INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - MOUNTAINLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGE

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

Location: 2301 W Ashton Boulevard, Lehi, UT 84043

Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Hours: Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm with flexible schedule

Pay / Salary: $53,504

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the Instructional Designer include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing learning needs, existing instructional materials, existing curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies against standard accepted academic best practices such as ADDIE, adult learning theories, etc.
  • Designing and Developing curricula for traditional, hybrid, and distance education courses
  • Developing and designing online material and assessment tools
  • Overseeing implementation of online learning programs
  • Training educators and students to use online learning system
  • Troubleshoots technical problems via reported user issues
  • Maintaining currency in the field of online learning
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff to implement approved curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies
  • Providing technical support for the Canvas Learning Management System
  • Supporting the Office of Teaching and Learning Coordinator in implementation of Bridge and employee professional development
  • Completing additional projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in Instructional Technology
  • -OR- equivalent work experience
