Mountain View Family Dentistry and Ortho is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Alamogordo, NM

At Mountain View Dental, we provide our patients with the high-quality service they deserve. We handle all aspects of general dentistry and also provide additional services such as cosmetic treatments, implants, and root canals. Our caring team is dedicated to our patients’ comfort as well as their health, providing guidance and support in addition to excellent care!

Currently, our office is seeking a Dental Assistant for our practice in Alamogordo, NM! The right fit must be engaging with patients, gets along well with others and is team oriented. If this grooves with you, we'd like to meet you!

In this role, you'll be responsible for providing hands-on support to the clinical team and completing prep work so they can more efficiently care for patients. Duties include completing intake paperwork and updating patient records, taking necessary x-rays, sterilizing and organizing dental tools and assisting during dental procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients.
  • Update and maintain patient records.
  • Take X-rays and intraoral photos of patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Present treatment to patients
  • Assist clinicians during dental procedures.
  • Sterilize instruments and clean rooms and ensure all infection control policies are being followed.
  • Prepare operatories for patient visits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Dental Experience Preferred
  • CPR Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of practice management software
  • X-Ray Certified (after 90 of employment)

Pay Range

  • $14 - $20/hr (Dependent on Experience)
