Mountain Shadows Suppor is Hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) Near Escondido, CA

If you have the "Because I Care" attitude when it comes to giving your best and helping others, we would love to talk to you about becoming a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional! We will train you to oversee homes serving adults with intellectual disabilities on our beautiful Escondido residential campus. Training will include how to develop self-help, life skills and behavior programs for residents; how to monitor quality service delivery and how to manage and supervise care staff. You will also learn how to communicate effectively with families, social workers, medical professionals and others involved in the care of the residents. To qualify to become a Qualified Intellectual Disbilities Professionals you MUST HAVE a four-year degree in a human services related field AND 1 year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. You can get this experience while you are training! Some previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and previous management/supervisory experience is preferred. If you are an independent thinker who is looking to work in a casual yet supportive environment and would like to train for a rewarding career in social services, take advantage of this opportunity to work for a progressive, growing organization. 

This is not a 9 to 5 position. The hours are flexible and depend on the needs of your assigned residents. This is also not an office job. You must be willing to be hands on and "walk the walk" stepping in to help your employees when necessary.
