POSITION: Clinical Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Program Director
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Behavioral Health Clinic Staff

PURPOSE: Provide clinical and administrative supervision, engage in community outreach, and provide behavioral services in accordance to the MCCC mission.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and evaluations as required by agency policy.
  • Provide fiduciary supervision by meeting at least one time monthly with direct service providers as assigned for review of performance measures and report completion.
  • Provide clinical supervision by meeting at least one time monthly with direct service providers as assigned for review of client level of care, referral needs, best practice recommendations, and review of agency policy & procedures, rules, regulations and laws pertaining to client care.
  • Promote adherence to all standards for quality client care which include but are not limited to respect of clients rights, maintenance of professional ethics, maximization of continuity of care, utilization of evidence based practice, and supervision as necessary.
  • Point of contact for crisis situations as needed.
  • Provide direct services as needed.
  • Assignment of referrals to the agency staff.
  • Adapt caseloads/schedules to allow for continuity of client care in times of staff vacancies at the clinic.
  • Engage in community based outreach and marketing events.
  • Coordinate and attend annual stakeholders meetings.
  • Prepare and complete necessary or requested correspondence, including electronic and paper communications to internal and external contacts.
  • Report on clinic performance and needs as requested by the Mental Health Director.
  • Attend trainings as directed by agency and in accordance with licensure requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all private client and agency information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Mental Health Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences. Preferred Licensed in the state of Kentucky as a LPCC, LPCA, LCSW, CSW, MFTA, or equivalent. A minimum of three years of experience working in the mental health field is required. Must complete direct service certification programs and required agency trainings within six months of employment. Preference given to candidate’s with a license in their respective field and who are in good standing with their licensing board. Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of public mental health services. Ability to assess and evaluate the needs of people with diverse diagnosis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to the care and treatment of people with behavioral health concerns is required. The ability to advocate for service improvements within and outside the agency is necessary. Must be able to type and have general knowledge of office procedures and computer office programs. Demonstrates the ability to maintain professional attitude in working with co-workers and public.

Working Conditions: Standard hours Monday – Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. May require evening, weekend or on-call hours.
