Retail Sales Associate

Provide customer retail sales assistance and general information on merchandise. Restock merchandise and maintain all items in an attractive presentation. Ensure the security of revenue and merchandise. Sell Season Passes or Lift Tickets when applicable and answer questions about Purgatory operations. Employees will receive a free Purgatory season pass for the season they are employed for.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers

• Assist customers in locating products and provide information about product features, pricing, and availability

• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately and efficiently while accurately operating the POS system

• Restock merchandise on the sales floor and ensure products are properly labeled and displayed

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock replenishment needs

• Help guests with resort questions or guide them in the direction they need to resolve their questions

• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities to safety:

• Report any existing or potential safety concerns to a supervisor immediately

• Protect, promote and train safety to self and co workers

• Operate equipment/ tools in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others

• Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Purgatory Employee Handbook

Job Qualifications

Education or Formal Training:High school diploma or GED preferred. Must pass ski manufacturer binding certifications (on-the-job training provided)

Experience: Biking experience preferred, skiing & snowboarding knowledge required. Must be able to work a minimum of 2 days a week. Various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service skills, basic knowledge of mechanical principles, basic computer skills.

This is a non skiing position.
