Job Description: General Statement of DutiesThe Program Aide will be responsible for the assisting with the daily coordination and operations of the Food for Thought Pantry at the Leominster Campus of Mount Wachusett Community College to increase the opportunities for drop in services through assisting students with accessing refrigerated lockers, organizing and packing food orders.ResponsibilitiesIn support of expanding food security through the Food for Thought Pantry, the Program Aide will

  • Assist in connecting students to food resources on campus and in the community
  • Assist with food items collection from the Worcester County Food Bank and distribution to students
  • Assist in developing and/or facilitating appropriate programs or services
  • Assist and support students with completing intake applications
  • Sorting and stocking donations
  • Assist, review and use software to track and record food inventory on both campuses, Leominster & Gardner
  • Communicate student needs and concerns to supervisor, as appropriate
  • Applies the MWCC equity agenda with a racial equity lens to all duties and responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as directed
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent;
  • Ability to meet physical demands of lifting up to 35lbs or more;
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel;
  • 2 or more years with customer service experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual and/or Multilingual Speaker
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
