Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Lead/Manager
Work Location: Spartanburg Assembly, Spartanburg, South Carolina
We have an exciting opportunity at our Maplewood Facility for a problem solver, a change agent who is excited about quality and taking it to the NEXT level. The Maintenance Technician position will be responsible for
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic installation, repair, and troubleshooting support to all areas of manufacturing. Sets up and operates variety of machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate/repair machine tools, and maintain industrial machines by performing the following duties. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties:
• Perform complex repairs without supervision using mechanical equipment and/or hand tools in a timely manner.
• Read, modify, or make design changes to any mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or basic electrical prints when needed.
• Utilize Robotics and PLC’s (Fanuc, ABB, Seimans, and Motoman).
• Troubleshoot and repair lubrication systems and components, hydraulic circuit components, electrical control systems, and pneumatic circuit components.
• Disassemble and repair shaft bearings and seal assemblies.
• Assist in tool changes on production equipment.
• Direct others in performing necessary tasks for successful project completion and lead other associates in continuous improvement projects.
• Maintenance welding and cutting using electrode ars welder, MIG (metal inert gas) welder, and oxyacetylene welding and cutting equipment.
• Improve ergonomic, safety, environmental, and/or quality practices as they pertain to the company.
• Install production and support equipment in conjunction with moderate fabrication and rigging in conjunction with Engineering and Production with minimum or no supervision.
• Inspect equipment condition utilizing established Preventive Maintenance procedures.
• Seek Continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Maintain necessary documentation including machine histories, preventive maintenance check sheets, and logbooks.
• Adhere to and perform all essential safety procedures.
• Serve on the Emergency/Spill Response Team as required.
• Housekeeping (5S).
• Maintain and ensure Compliance with Motus Quality Management System
• Maintain and ensure Customer Specifications are met
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or need in order to meet the needs of the company
