Machine Operator - Fiber Department

DIRECT HIRE $17.50 - $20.50 per hour based on experience.
HOURS: 3PM-11PM (overtime potential during week and on weekends)

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Work Location: Battle Creek, MI 
Shift Times: 3pm-11pm

We have an exciting opportunity at our Battle Creek facility for entry level or experienced Fiber Machine Operator who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learning all positions within three fiber lines (each line has 4-5 positions) with training program
• Ability to fill out production/downtime reports and manning reports
• Must have good understanding of OEE and of the Lockout Tagout procedure and ensure it is being followed
• Filling out hour-by-hour board and direct proper procedures for 1-hour PM of line
• Ability to check for production schedule, proper manning, and for proper fiber blend set up
• Follow process procedures and fill out process/trend sheets
• Do first piece checks and the ability to produce products to required spec

REQUIREMENTS:
 High School Diploma or GED
 Previous working experience in a manufacturing production facility preferred
Standing for long periods of time (10 hours per day). Employees will occasionally lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
Pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Lockout Tagout certification, forklift license, and respirator training
