In this position, you will be working as part of an engineering team, assisting with tasks such as:
Update 3D BIM (building information modeling), CFD (computational fluid dynamics), egress models as needed;
Assist in engineering calculations such as pressure drop calculations, noise calculations, jet fan thrust calculations, NFPA 130 egress calculations;
Review and update engineering reports;
Understand and apply Industry standards as applicable such as NFPA 130 and NFPA 502;
Attend weekly team meetings;
Support engineers in daily tasks as needed.

To be considered for an intern position, you must meet the following criteria:
Studying for a Master's, Bachelor's level degree or diploma in Mechanical engineering;
A genuine interest in engineering design related to tunnel ventilation, fire protection, egress analysis, computational fluid dynamics, or other fire and life safety related field;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Organized and a self starter;
Effective in verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range: $17.00 - $33.00 per hour
