MOTOR CITY GAS (whiskey distillery) is Hiring a Bartender and Server Near Royal, MI
MOTOR CITY GAS is an award winning farm distillery that manufactures a constant revolving variety of grain, malt and bourbon whiskies from dirt to bottle.
We're looking for a hard working, dependable and outgoing bartender and/or server capable of providing a 5-Star guest experience in a casual, fun, high volume, premium craft distillery cocktail lounge.
Craft cocktail making experience is a plus, but not required.
Some industry experience (bar, restaurant, catering, etc.) is required.
Compensation includes salary and tips.
Opportunities for job growth and other potential work benefits will be discussed at interview.
Potential future opportunities include rolls in: management, manufacturing of MCG whiskies, external sales, marketing and event coordination/execution.
On the job training will be provided to deliver a strong understanding of:
- The world of whiskey
- The whiskey making process
- Moderating whiskey tastings
- Selling MCG whiskey products

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or serve craft cocktails and whiskey tastings
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Help develop and present seasonal cocktail menus
- Develop a strong understanding of the world of whiskey, products that are manufactured onsite and how to moderate whiskey tastings
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills
- Resume and proven working experience (as mentioned above)
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
