As a Universal Production & Operations Technician at Pier of D’Nort, you will play a vital role in our production process. You will be responsible for completing small projects as directed, order fulfillment, cutting aluminum and vinyl material, problem-solving, utilizing mechanical knowledge, producing products and assemblies, loading and unloading goods, performing general maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety: Safety responsibilities include following established procedures, identifying hazards, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents, and learning to operate machinery safely.

Small Projects: Assist in completing projects when necessary.

Order Fulfillment: Retrieve goods from warehouse for shipping, delivery, and pick up orders. Communicate with customers about the product and answer any questions they may have. Assisting in crating orders for shipments.

Material Cutting: Precisely cut aluminum or vinyl material to specified dimensions using various cutting tools and equipment.

Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods into trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks.

General Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks on machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure their functionality and safety. Snow removal also maybe asked of you.

Customer Service: Interact with customers and provide exceptional service when necessary, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.

• Be flexible. Everyday could be something different.
• Lift up 50 to 75 lbs. routinely with the ability to bend, lift, sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Reading and understanding design layouts.
• Operate small manual tools, battery, and electrical tools.
• Operate electric and propane forklifts.
• Maintain a good driving record, obey traffic and safety rules, and complete DOT checks accurately.
• Drive pickup trucks with various trailer sizes – and the ability to back up trailers into tight areas.
• Work outside in all types of weather.
