This innovative insurance company is looking to hire a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead their financial services engineering team. This team manages a financial data platform using big technologies and a distributed compute engine in the cloud to process and store large amounts of financial data. The ideal candidate has a software engineering background and experience supporting financial systems. This opportunity is fully remote.

• 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with any object-oriented language, Scala or Java preferred
• 5 years of experience using Spark, EMR, or Glue
• 5 years of experience architecting and enhancing data platforms
• 2 years of team leadership experience
• AWS (Lamdas, SNS, S3)
• Problem Solving Skills
• Experience working within Agile/DevSecOps development environments
• REST APIs
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Financial Management Stakeholders
• Experience with Workday or other large ERP Platforms
• Life Insurance or financial services industry experience a plus
