Our client, a defense company, is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Oshkosh, WI. This is a fully onsite position.

**This role is a 6 month W2 contract with the possibility of extension or conversion**

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
• Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
• Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
• Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
• Perform and Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Internship experience or six (6) or more months of related work experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high level CAD system.
