We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our talented engineering team and drive the development of innovative technology in the field of motion control. This position also ensures that direct and indirect reports meet their performance expectations by ensuring proper training and understanding of their responsibilities and deliverables. As their coach and mentor, you will conduct ongoing one-on-one sessions as required, establish annual objectives, and conduct performance appraisals. You will direct all human resources issues related to the engineering department including selection, interviews, discipline, and terminations.
Responsibilities
· Lead weekly Engineering meetings. Communicate meeting minutes.
· Provide leadership to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high performing work environment.
· Oversee and coordinate engineering projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery of reliable and deployable products and systems.
· Encourage and support the team in exploring innovative ideas, conducting research, and developing state-of-the-art technology.
· Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of performance and reliability in our products.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality to reduce costs and ensure seamless product development and delivery.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, assisting in problem-solving and resolving complex technical challenges.
· Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry & AS9100 standards and safety regulations.
· Gather, create, and maintain project data leveraging management tools and systems, ensuring integrity of tasks such as:
· Risk Identification (FMEA)
· Project forecasting and reporting
· Oversight of specific governing customer agreements, billing events, and milestones related to a given project.
· Managing issues to resolution or appropriately escalating issues for assistance in resolving and managing project and scope changes to what was defined in the quote and/or Statement of Work developed for the project.
· Prepare, monitor, and manage the project to the defined plan, quote, budget, specification, and schedule, providing regular status reports as requested.
· Track the established Key Performance Indicators, including milestones, associated with a given project.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Electrical or related fields).
· Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a strong record of successful project delivery.
