Location:

Omaha, Nebraska, South Dakota, or Western Iowa Territory(could live in any of the three states)

Travel:

70% travel with most travel occurring during the school year; company car allowance provided

MOSS has been in business for 55 years. Our company represents more than 15 product lines and covers 5 Midwestern states. MOSS is seeking an Education Specialist to cover a defined region in Nebraska, South Dakota and Western Iowa. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to join a highly successful company that boasts extremely low turnover and high employee satisfaction.

Target Market:

K-20 education, research centers, training centers and targeted industries selling technical training equipment, 3D printers, engineering training equipment, engineering software, CNC, robotics training systems, Simulated Welding Solutions,Construction Equipment simulators and e-learning curriculum covering a range of STEM topics

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree strongly preferred
  • 2 years of successful technical sales experience required; EDU sales experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Customer focused
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales/quota targets
  • Closing skills
  • Territory management
  • Prospecting/hunting skills
  • Self-motivated & self-starter
  • Has a very strong work ethic and a desire to be on the road visiting schools, colleges, universities and industry clients
  • Presentation and public speaking skills (occasionally groups up to 25 people including educators and students as the audience)
  • CRM knowledge: Zoho experience preferred

Education Specialist Job Duties:

  • Prospects for new business
  • Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts
  • Perform sales-related demonstrations of capital training equipment and e-learning content, and learning management systems
  • Keeps upper management informed by submitting reports and providing territory analyses on a routine basis
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions to solve complaints
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Contributes to team effort by completing related tasks as needed
  • Remains knowledgeable on grants and other educational funding opportunities

Training Provided:

  • Product-specific training at manufacturer’s Headquarters
  • OJT sales and product training
  • Webinar sales training for software based solutions
  • E-Learning sales training

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Monthly Commissions Targeted Bonuses
