This role is incredibly flexible. As long as the regular bookkeeping deadlines are met, when you do the work will be mainly up to you. The role should take around 12 hours per week, with some weeks being less and some more.
As the Bookkeeper for our company, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our operations’ financial health and stability. Your meticulous attention to detail and passion for numbers will directly contribute to our continued success and growth.
Here's a glimpse of what you can expect in this role:
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger entries.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial decision-making.
3. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
4. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing for tax filings and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
5. Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports for management review, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
6. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support as needed, including filing documents, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Cheerful manner and a caring, can-do attitude
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Quarter-time position, offering flexible hours to accommodate personal commitments.
- $20-$25/hr compensation commensurate with experience.
- Position is on-site to accommodate data entry and collaboration with our office staff.
