Summary:

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to provide opportunity valuation and analysis, corporate internal financial reporting and analysis, and project management. In this role, you'll be working closely with senior leaders, operating groups, and business service groups. Demonstrating your excellent communication skills, as well as your ability to collaborate with a team is vital for success.

What will you be doing?

• Act as the primary contact for assigned Business Service Groups and assist their financial performance review, the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
• Provide detailed summaries, reports and recommendations to assist Business Service Groups in managerial decision making
• Communicate results and estimates to business leaders, prepare and deliver financial updates, create financial models and analyze variances to key operating metrics
• Support overall annual financial planning process and enhancement initiatives
• Update and maintain budget to capture, consolidate and model financial data
• Support to develop standard financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis
• Support to develop various financial analysis and reports for the senior leadership
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
• Identify areas for process improvement and support execution of efforts
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational level

How will you succeed

• Minimum of five years related experience within Corporate FP&A
• Oracle Financials/Projects application experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis and modeling experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
• Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate financial information to all levels of the organization
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent field.
• MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred
