Character of Position
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for performing quality control, sorting and maintaining flow of materials through the production system to assure that quality - checked products are available for production use. Communicates clearly and consistently with management and other team members to ensure the job is completed promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Kitting part orders
- Staging service
- To receive, store, and distribute material in a timely and accurate manner
- Potentially assemble subassemblies
- Must be able to occasionally investigate and resolve material handling problems
- Assist with expediting factory repairs as needed
- Willingness to learn other aspects of the production floor
- Ability to analyze problems and determine the appropriate resolutions on a daily basis
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, to various audiences
- Read/create shipping labels
- Ability to work with team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Prepare engineering binders for power units
- Prepare customer quotations for repair orders
- Issue repair RGA’s in Susan’s absence
- Expedite factory repairs in Susan’s absence
- Check in hydraulic RGA’s
- Prepare Excel spreadsheet form (costing) from inspection report and check parts availability
- Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
- Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Other duties as assigned

Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience with Haz Mat
- 0-3 years’ experience in material handling or similar function
