Description
The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently move materials throughout the facility using various equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying accuracy of shipments and reporting any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto trucks
- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (Preferred)
- Ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
