Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa is Hiring an Assistant Manager - Promotions Near Cabazon, CA

Job Summary

Responsible for development, implementation, management and evaluation of Promotions, Morongo Rewards players, and revenue tracking programs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains 4-Diamond relationships with known players and develops 4-Diamond relationships with potential players
  • Ensures guests concerns are handled in a timely manner while maintaining guest retention through service recovery
  • Assist in the creation and execution of casino marketing programs and initiatives
  • Responsible for data integrity in regards to what Promotions team members input into the player tracking system
  • Schedules and organizes meetings, and attends and actively participates in property meetings
  • Provides direct communication to the property of upcoming events, promotions and Marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for promotions on the gaming floor through reporting to ensure compliance with policy and procedures
  • Provides direction and guidance to various marketing departmental areas including casino, slots, entertainment, table games, etc. Coordinates with the creative services, rewards, promotions, Player Development and VIP teams to develop creative design communications and collateral
  • Plans, analyzes, evaluates and reports on all casino marketing programs and initiatives
  • Ensures proper staffing and scheduling to meet business demands, and process weekly payroll
  • Schedules, tracks and manages the departmental (re)training process
  • Manages product inventory and organization
  • Creates and maintains marketing calendar
  • Assists with the planning and execution of promotional events, and provide approval for promotional setups in PKMS and Synkros
  • Provides technical and organizational oversight for all promotional activities
  • Delivers marketing activity within agreed budget, and ensures accurate monthly financial accounting and that invoices have been properly submitted
  • Adheres to the company overtime and FTE policies, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures
  • Maintains BEST experience standards through training and development
  • Ensures compliance with policy and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public.
  • Provides timely feedback and evaluations for Leads and Supervisors
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of advertising, promotions, entertainment design, special events, direct mail, players tracking and public contract. Team leader and innovator relating to marketing concepts. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs, especially in database and spreadsheet programs. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Marketing or related field. Two to five years experience in casino marketing, with an emphasis on casino player’s clubs and promotions preferred, with the ability to handle high volume, fast-paced environment or combination of education and experience.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Exceptional reading, writing, interpersonal and public speaking skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical reports, general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, rates, ratio, proportions and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply legal, regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast-paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

WORKING HOURS:

A typical workweek shall be 40 hours. The team member is expected to devote such time and energy as is reasonably necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Occasionally further availability may be required, including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. The team member may be required to be available by telephone or other electronic communication device during normal business hours and in case of after hour emergencies.
