Morningstar Living is currently hiring a Payroll Specialist for our Senior Living Community in Nazareth, PA to oversee all aspects of the organization's payroll process. This opportunity is Full Time day shift with benefits including health insurance, 401K, paid time off, and so much more!

What will I do in this role?

• Reconcile and review supervisory approvals of employee timecards.
• Communicate with department leaders and assist employees concerning all payroll related matters.
• Export and import information to ensure continuity between systems, reviewing to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
• Balance payroll earnings and deductions; prepare reports in order to make related transfer of funds.
• Prepare reports for department leaders to support payroll, budgeting and performance improvement processes.
• Reconcile deduction reports and create ACH requests for voluntary and involuntary deductions.
• Prepare invoices for benefits not withheld due to employee absences i.e. Family Medical Leave.
• Set up new employees in payroll system and work with Human Resources Department to coordinate benefits and deductions as pertains to Payroll and Human Resource policies.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end close as it relates to payroll.
• Prepare annual Payroll and Benefit Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of yearly budget and provide monthly expense analysis as needed.
• Complete Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting.
• Support various financial audits as assigned.
• Serve as a company educational resource and liaison for all payroll related systems.
• Serve on project team for a new human capital management implementation targeted for the upcoming year.

What do I need in this role?

• 3-5 years of experience in computerized payroll processing
• Skilled nursing facility experience a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude; willingness to take on other duties as needed and work as team member within the business office.
