Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our fast growing team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our residential apartment communities, including performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to maintenance requests from residents, and conducting repairs as needed.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Conduct inspections of units and common areas to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of building systems and equipment.
- Assist with the turnover of vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Background checks will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
