Morgan Stanley is Hiring a Client Onboarding Operations Associate Near New York, NY

Responsibilities include:
- Support IBD/GCM client onboarding for M&A, Equity and Debt transactions. Provide coverage for the IBD/GCM Data & Document Refresh (IBD/GCM DDR) process.
- Determine the appropriate US Know-Your Customer (KYC) requirements; source publicly available requirements and communicate overall status with IBD/GCM, Agent and/or clients.
- Review and validate incoming KYC documentation (incl. beneficial ownership / client due diligence - CDD Form), seek clarification and/or updated documentation where applicable.
- Completion of EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) and PEP forms; handover to GFC, Bank AML Risk and post AML sign-off processing.
- Partner with CRS to ensure party data set up and KYC items are stored in Firm systems (Party Darwin, A2, DQS, GDS etc).
- Ensure synchronization between DDR and KYC onboarding processes; liaise and facilitate requirements between DDR and IBD/GCM/Loan Operations/Clients.
- Provide coverage for the team inbox receiving banker / client inquiries to address all onboarding requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage special projects, including the coordination and documentation of procedures, business requirements, test scripts, and implementation plans.
- Proactively communicate with IBD/GCM bankers on the onboarding status and raise any red flags related to financial crimes due diligence
- Represent the team during internal and external audits, including the coordination and articulation of evidence provided by the team

- MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Must be proficient in documenting procedures and process flows
- Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
- Excellent organization skills are required
- Familiarity with syndicated loan products and credit documentation a plus
- Loan IQ experience a plus
- Demonstrated track record of achievement with the ability to take initiative in a challenging environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate information to a range of audiences
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
- Ability to proactively contribute towards continued improvements in control, operational efficiency, and industry initiatives

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 51000 and 85000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
