Morgan Hunter Companies is Hiring an Internal Communications Manager Near Kansas City, MO

Job Description
Our client is searching for a new team member to oversee the effective development and execution of internal communication strategies aimed at furthering the objectives of Human Resources and Engagement initiatives. The perfect candidate will oversee the coordination and implementation of communication efforts directed towards internal employees, with the aim of bolstering employee engagement, aligning with organizational objectives, and cultivating a favorable employee experience. This is a long term contract position through the end of this year, possibly longer.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate engaging content for diverse internal communication platforms such as email, intranet, digital signage, and online platforms (LinkedIn and company website).
  • Supervise the annual internal communications schedule, overseeing the organization and distribution of internal messages.
  • Revise and execute the Employer Brand/Employee Value Proposition strategy to uphold message coherence and preserve company tone and identity across internal communication avenues.
  • Projects including but not limited to: updating internal online platforms, polishing external company webpage, revising content and design of new hire materials, developing informative materials for recurring HR initiatives such as open enrollment and performance reviews, etc.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4-year Marketing and Communications Degree, or related area
  • 5-8 years Human Resources Experience
  • Professional portfolio/collection of work samples
  • Experience with software such as SharePoint, Microsoft, and Slack
  • Professional writing, editing, and design skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internal or corporate communications with focus on Human Resources
  • Vendor management (i.E. Design firms, editors, etc.)
  • Project management
  • Intranet content and design
  • Employer brand experience
