PositionDescription:
To ensure that the facilityand equipmentare in good repairand operationwith regard to health, comfort, safety, and well-being of residents as establishedby a written routine maintenanceand repairprogram.This job is in accordancewith the establishedstate and federalregulations and the facilityphilosophy,policies and procedures,and to understandthe conceptof and be committed to the MoorheadRehabilitation and HealthcareCenter mission by demonstrating behaviorsconsistentwiththe MoorheadRehabilitation andHealthcareCenterMission Statement.
EssentialJobFunctions:
Carryoutallassignedworkgivenbymaintenancedirector.
Assist in carrying out timely preventative maintenanceon all equipment and all areas of the buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Inform maintenance director of any safety concerns regarding equipment, grounds, andbuildings.
Ensure quality customerservice to the Residents, families, and staff the department serves.
Organizeandmaintainallrecordsnecessary.
Use proper care and use of equipment and waste disposal proceduresin accordancewith corporate policies and procedures..
Workas scheduledandconsistentlydemonstratedependabilityandpunctuality.
Consistentlywork cooperativelywith Residents, staff, volunteers, and families toensure Residents are receiving the best quality care.
Observe allcommunity policiesandprocedures, including butnotlimitedtosafety, infection control,Residents'rights,and thosecontained intheemployee handbook. Maintaintheconfidentialityofallprotected healthinformation whether electronic, written,ororalexposedtoeitherduringthecourseofassigned dutiesorasaresultofan incidental disclosure.
Apply the Minimum NecessaryStandard in all matters related to Residents'protected health information.
Abletocoveroncalleveryotherweekendand2weeknightseachweek.
NonEssentialJobFunctions:
Ensures garbage and recycling is properly disposed of. Answer telephones.
Pushandpullwheelchairs.
Qualifications:
HighschoolgraduateorGEDrequired.
Previousmaintenanceorconstructionbackgroundpreferred.
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and construction required. Able to follow written and oral directions.
Abilitytoworkindependently.
Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, Residents, families, and visitors.
Education:
HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalent.
