As the Marketing Editor and Writer, you will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of all Moore marketing materials and the creation of many of them. You would edit and proofread all marketing materials for style, format, accuracy, etc. You would write materials that include RFP responses, white papers, blog posts, websites, emails, mail pieces, collateral, speeches, and scripts. You will also be a key member of the marketing team, contributing to the overall vision and goals of the department.

In this role you will:

• Review and edit draft copy in established formats to meet specified guidelines and achieve established deadlines.
• Proofread and edit all copy to make necessary corrections in grammar, punctuation, omissions, arrangement, transitions, spelling errors, or inconsistencies found.
• Verify that names, places, and organizations are spelled properly, and that facts, dates, and statistics are accurate.
• Work with marketing staff to ensure content delivered meets established creative strategy.
• Write various marketing materials (described above) and work with subject matter experts to put their knowledge into compelling, readable language.
• Research content for publication in print and online.
• Understand Moore’s brand standards and help shape them with consistent high quality.

We Seek:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a relevant topic like English or journalism and a portfolio of writing/editing samples or2 years as a writer, proofreader, copy editor, or similar discipline.
• Knowledge of or work for nonprofits, agencies, and/or production environments a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English; Spanish language knowledge a plus.
• Mastery of spelling, grammar, and punctuation rules, and ability to correct errors in these.
• Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to make constructive suggestions to content.
• Proficient in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro (editing tools), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficiency in working with generative AI text systems a plus.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Research and interview savvy to confirm the accuracy of data, statistics, facts, and dates.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and on project teams.
