Summary

The Corporate Communications Manager will spearhead the implementation of our internal communications strategy, ensuring operational efficacy and reinforcing leadership vision. Key responsibilities encompass close collaboration with stakeholders to guarantee clarity, consistency, and alignment of all internal communications with the company's strategic objectives and core values. This role entails managing diverse communication channels, including intranet, email, text messaging, as well as display and print mediums.

A proficient Corporate Communications Manager will demonstrate strong writing, interpersonal, and project management capabilities.

This full-time role reports to the Chief Communications Officer. While primarily an individual contributor, this position will collaborate with multiple sectors in the company. The position is based at the Moore headquarters in Lanham, Maryland, although consideration will be given to remote applicants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, its client base and employee audiences to implement effective communication campaigns.
  • Acts as an in-house communications agency for stakeholders throughout the company to amplify content to our employees.
  • Works with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that all internal communication is aligned with business objectives and supports the company’s culture and values.
  • Responsible for internal communications channels, including intranet, email, text messaging, as well as display and print mediums.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with copywriters, graphic designers, vendors, in-house resources and others to create communications content.
  • Understands the diverse language needs of the company and developing strategic delivery to these audience groups.
  • Monitors and measures the effectiveness of internal communications and makes recommendations for improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Maintains a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant.
  • Updates communications initiatives on integrated communications marketing calendar to provide an up-to-date view of internal and external communications activities.
  • Works with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills.
  • Experience with content creation and delivery (i.e., email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical skills. Working knowledge of our communication tech stack including Workfront, Adobe Firefly, Canva and Microsoft 365 product suite with an emphasis on SharePoint and Copilot is a plus.
