Founded in 2021, Moonrise Bagels is a new kind of bagel shop that has gained both local and national recognition for its award-winning “Stuffed Bagels”, New York style bagels stuffed with real, good food like Bacon, Egg & Cheese, Buffalo Chicken and Reuben. As a quick-service establishment offering innovative novelty Stuffed Bagels & classic bagels with spreads along with coffee, tea, and drinks, we pride ourselves on providing a quick, affordable, mess-free, enjoyable experience to all guests. Our original location is in Woodstock, but Poughkeepsie will act as our flagship location. We also offer nationwide shipping and have shipped our award winning Stuffed Bagels to all 50 states.

Position Summary

We are looking for a responsible individual to join our growing team at Moonrise Bagels. Front of House Team Members are guest facing, and responsible for taking orders, fulfilling orders and providing a high level of hospitality. This is a great position for someone who loves engaging with people and who wants to work in a fast-paced environment with a tight-knit team. This is a tip eligible position with gross compensation expected in the $20 per hour range. This position reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Take and fulfill orders including cutting, spreading and packaging bagels, brewing coffee, stocking the fridge while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment that adheres to company and health code standards
• : Act as a brand ambassador, sharing the brand story with customers and getting them interested and excited in Stuffed Bagels
• Maintain an enjoyable and welcoming experience for our guests.

Requirements

• Prior hospitality or food service experience a plus but not required
• Passion for excellence and hospitality
• Reliable with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is a must
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm and willingness to help the team succeed whenever necessary
• Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner and put it into action
• Availability to work events as needed
• Be at least 18 years old
• Fluent in English
