Candidate should have an understanding of the following:
- Understanding of server-side MVC framework
- Familiar with common design patterns
- UNIX/Linux experience, familiar with shell (Bash) scripting
- Database experience (MySQL, Postgres, and/or NoSQL)
- Experience with consuming web services (XML, JSON) and building Restful web services using open
- Understanding of HTML, CSS and web standards
- Experience in software engineering process through definition, design,test, and production
- JavaScript skills, experience with AJAX. Familiar enough with atlas two JavaScript libraries to be able to compare them
- Experience with client-side MVC JavaScript frameworks highly desired
- Experience with source control (preferably git)
- DevOps Experience in Ruby on Rails context* Prior SCRUM/Agile experience a plus
- Self-driven, can work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Job Requirements:
- Work at Irvine Corporate office 2-3 times a week (will work around class schedule)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a strong attention to detail
- Python or Javascript knowledge preferred
