The Visual Information and Social Media Specialist will create, design and produce video and social media content, produce graphics and social media campaigns and collateral materials to inform the public about public policy issues and the work of the Montgomery County Council.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range $63,642 - $82,408

Montgomery County Ethics Law: Except as provided by law or regulation, the County's "Public Employees" (which does not include employees of the Sheriff's office) are subject to the County's ethics law including the requirements to obtain advanced approval of any outside employment and the prohibitions on certain outside employment. Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a candidate with five (5) years of experience in television, public relations, marketing, commercial art, graphic design, television production or a related field, with strength in the design of total visual information products or a related field. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Arts, Commercial Art, Commercial Design, Television or Video Production, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted.
