Job Description
TEBS seeks a highly skilled, qualified, experienced, and innovative IT Expert (Solution Architect) for its OFF initiative. TEBS supports over 11,000 County users across 40 operating Departments working in-person in County facilities, via Telework, or on a hybrid model basis.
The incumbent will lead the TEBS/OFF IT Service Management (ITSM) program and generally serve as the lead technical strategist for Enterprise solution implementation initiatives that fall under the purview of the TEBS OFF program.
Scope of Work
The Solution Architect has a broad portfolio of responsibility. Chief among these are to chair the TEBS Change Control Board (CCB), which meets bi-weekly, and the Network Connection Request Board (NCRB), which meets on a weekly basis.

These specific responsibilities entail significant customer contact across Departments as well as substantial collaboration with TEBS staff across the TEBS operating divisions.
The incumbent plays a lead role in defining technical architecture and/or implementation strategies associated with Enterprise solution implementations such as, but not limited to:
The Solution Architect helps coordinate ServiceNow development including defining strategy, technical solution approach, business rules, workflows, integrations, interfaces, and dashboards and reports within the ServiceNow application, and supports general delivery of ServiceNow digital transformation process innovations.
The incumbent works closely with the TEBS Policy Analyst and OFF Section Chiefs to define and implement policy initiatives and respond to requests for information and updates from internal organizational entities such as Internal Audit, the Office of the Inspector General, the Office of Management and Budget, the County Council, and other key stakeholders.
The Solution Architect performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional information
The incumbent will work with Departments County-wide to understand, propose, and deliver solutions with the primary emphasis on request fulfillment, workflow automation, and key ITSM based requests (Case, Change, Asset, Service Catalog, and others). The incumbent will utilize appropriate solution implementation methodologies and industry best practices to conduct solution architecture design, requirements analysis, system design, solution development and implementation, and play a vital role throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
The Solution Architect must have the ability to work independently and manage projects/processes and supervise/manage staff.
The position requires work schedule flexibility including some after-hours work, if necessary, to meet customer requirements. The County and TEBS support teleworking in accordance with County-wide and TEBS specific telework policies and procedures.
The incumbent will report to the Division Chief of Customer Relations who heads the OFF initiative.
Anticipated Salary: $98,037 (Minimum) – 158,802 (Maximum)

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in the Technology field in two or more of the following areas:

There are no preferred criteria/assessment questions for this position. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be placed on the eligible list with a rating of qualified.
