Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center is Hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP/ FNP) Near Missoula, MT

Description:

Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center (“Montana Psychiatry”), a leading provider of psychiatric services, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner ) who will be responsible for providing general outpatient psychiatric services for a new practice. Montana Psychiatry provides high-quality and affordable outpatient care through cutting-edge treatments and interventions including pharmacotherapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), IV Ketamine, Spravato, and psychotherapy.

Montana Psychiatry is a physician-led practice that was co-founded in 2009 by Dr. Erin Amato in Billings, MT. Dr. Amato and her team are committed to serving patients in the community and region and giving back to underserved communities that lack high-quality mental health services. Montana Psychiatry joined the Turnwell Mental Health Network in November 2022 with the intent to expand local access to transformative treatment to more communities in Montana, and this new location and APP will further that mission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments & follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services to include TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine treatment as appropriate (training available).
  • Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient.
  • Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.
  • Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients.
  • Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance.
  • Prescribe medications when clinically necessary.
  • Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Communicate with and make referrals to PCPs /or specialists as appropriate.
  • Provide services at community partnership locations.
  • Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in Montana.

  • Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Preferred to possess a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare.
  • Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required.
  • Experience with interventions such as TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine would be favorably considered, but not required, as on-site training is available.
  • Computer literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records.
