Location:
Taylor Prairie School Monona Grove School District has openings for 0.47 FTE Educational Assistant at Taylor Prairie School, scheduled hours are approximately 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. Positions begin January 8, 2024.
Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Educational Assistant at Taylor Prairie School serving grades 4K - K.
Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in a school settings.
• Provide academic and behavioral support in classroom and resource settings.
• Provide instruction using various intervention programs (overseen by a licensed teacher).
• Work as part of an educational team.
• Data collection
• Support proportional representation of all learners in all classrooms.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with other teachers and administrators.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers, to provide a range of academic and social-emotional support to students in inclusive classroom settings.
• Attend trainings and in services, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Prior experience working as an Educational Assistant preferred.
• Associates degree or 48 credits at a higher education level preferred.
• Technology skills
• Certified or willing to be certified in First Aid/CPR.
• Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to connect with students.
• Commitment to equity.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued, but not a requirement for this position.
