    Glacial Drumlin School Monona Grove School District has an opening for a 1.0 FTE Grade 6 Math and Social Studies Teacher at Glacial Drumlin School. Position begins approximately August 19, 2024.
    Overview: Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Grade 6 Math and Social Studies Teacher.
    Responsibilities:
    • Serve as a Grade 6 Teacher in support of all learners and co-plan to co-serve with teams of teachers in inclusive classroom settings.
    • Monitor students’ academic and behavioral progress (through data collection and analysis) to guide instructional decisions. Monitor and address IEP goals as necessary.
    • Apply principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) through multiple means of representation, engagement, and assessment supporting reciprocal learning strategies.
    • Support proportional representation of all learners in all classrooms.
    • Communicate proactively and effectively with other teachers and administrators.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers, to provide a range of academic and social-emotional support to students in inclusive classroom settings.
    • Collaborate with school improvement teams and align practice with the MGSD Equity Non-Negotiables.
    • Establish effective rapport and build strong relationships with students.
    • Develop positive relationships and engage in open reciprocal communication with parents and families.
    • Attend work regularly.
    • Perform other duties as directed by building administration.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Experience in teaching various content areas preferred.
    • Experience with differentiating instruction preferred.

    • Familiar with Response to Instruction (RtI) processes, including progress monitoring and using data to guide instruction.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).
    • Experience working with diverse learners and supporting culturally responsive practices.
    • Ability to use technology in support of learning and instruction.
    • Ability to work positively and productively as an active member of a vibrant teaching team.
    License Requirement:
    • Valid WI Department of Public Instruction Regular Education (1777) or Elementary/Middle Level Education (1088), or ability to obtain license upon hire
      • Middle Childhood- Early Adolescence or;
      • Early Adolescence- Adolescence or;
      • Appropriate low and high grade levels
    OR
    • Valid WI Department of Public Instruction Broadfield Social Studies (1701), or ability to obtain licensure upon hire ability to obtain licensure upon hire
      • Middle Childhood- Early Adolescence or;
      • Early Adolescence- Adolescence or;
      • Appropriate low and high grade levels
    AND
    • Valid WI Department of Public Instruction Mathematics (1400), or ability to obtain licensure upon hire ability to obtain licensure upon hire
