As an E&I Technician, you are responsible for performing general and specialized maintenance and repairs of instrumentation and electrical installations. In addition, the E&I Technician will represent Monolith when working with contractors in hands-on electrical maintenance and by providing insight to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance.

  • You’re knowledgeable of industrial equipment such as breakers, transformers, transmitters, and controllers, and preventative, predictive, and failure maintenance
  • Technical certificate plus 2 years of industrial experience or high school diploma plus 4 years of industrial experience
  • Experience calibrating pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters, and troubleshooting process systems
  • Familiarity with motor control schematics, electrical one-lines, P&IDs, PLC-related controls, transmitters, and logic desired.
  • Able to provide rotation-based on-call phone support and occasional overtime nights or weekends as required.
What you'll do in the role:
  • Perform skilled electrical maintenance, repair, and installation of wiring, fixtures, and equipment including repairing or replacing motors, controllers/control systems, conduit, wire, tubing, and specialized electronic systems.
  • Maximize equipment up-time by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs while providing feedback for improvement possibilities.
  • Proactively initiate work orders based on observations, measurements, or test results.
  • Assume an active role in the development and continuous improvement of the maintenance program by:
  • Evaluating the reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Communicating effectively with the AEI team to Identify, correct, and/or report problems requiring further action.
  • Collaborate with the departments and contractors to plan and implement the installation of new equipment or systems.
  • Assist with the diagnosing or troubleshooting of maintenance-related issues.
  • Determine the integrity of components and systems such as control loops, instrumentation, PLC hardware, and power distribution to result in an effective repair.
  • Engage with Operations staff to ensure an effective response and mitigation of downtime.
  • Other duties as needed.

Your environment:

Minimal travel required. Work will be performed within an outdoor industrial plant environment and an indoor office environment.
