Monkeypod Kitchen Ka'anapali is Hiring a Dining Room Server Near Lahaina, HI

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Dining Room Server to join our team. As a Dining Room Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up a section, including preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Greet all guests in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
- Review menus with guests and answer any questions about menu items, offering descriptions and making recommendations. Inform guests of any daily specials including pricing, if not listed on the menu. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter orders into the computer for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Check guests' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, taking extra care to perform any additional table-side preparation or service as required for items served.
- Describe and recommend wines to guests; bring a selection to the table with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for the guests.
- Check with the guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.

- Prepare the table for the next guest.
- Prepare certain hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
- Prepare and present guests' checks, ensure any special requests are followed (such as split checks), and collect corresponding payments.
- Assist the entire service team throughout the meal period to ensure all guest's expectations are exceeded.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, iced tea, tableware, share plates, silverware, and linens.
- Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, napkins, and drink garnishes.
- Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance.

Experience: Six months to one year prior related experience
Computer Skills: Experience with POS
Certifications & Licenses:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Fast-paced, high-energy, moderately noisy environment containing multiple personality types. It can become crowded and can become high-pressure and/or high stress due to the physical demands of the facility and demands of the
clientele.

Pay Rate: $12.75 Tips (FOH Tip Pool Range $6-8)

Pay: From $12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
