Import/Export Logistics Manager | Direct Hire position | FT with flexible hours | $80K DOE | On-Site | Bristol, PAThis Bristol, PA client is looking to add to their team! This is an excellent opportunity for a management position responsible for overseeing and managing distribution globally for a highly regarded company in its field. A day in the life of a Import/Export Logistics Manager
- Oversee and manage freight of all equipment, supplies, materials, reports, data and general communications between the organization and clients
- Manage all international and domestic shipments from this US office (UPS, FedEx)
- Create, develop, incorporate, and integrate needed processes and technology that will increase departmental accuracy, efficiency, and production
- Contributes to process improvement by reporting current procedures and systems that are not effective and directing initiatives to replace or restructure those procedures or systems
- Organize, structure and develop departmental staff for optimum production
- Import/Export documentation experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree required/field of study in logistics, supply chain & procurement or business management preferred
- Minimum five years’ management experience with proven leadership/management skills
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of ERP systems
- Computer skills necessary including Excel, Word, and Access data bases
- Detail oriented with excellent documentation ability
- Ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment with excellent problem-solving skill
- Ability to create systems and processes to accommodate department needs
